I saw on Acorn's website that brutalist landmark Eros House has been sold to new owners. Anyone know anything about who bought it and their plans?

Just to another residential landlord as far as I'm aware. It's been on the cards for a while. Landlord freeing up some of their portfolio and this was the easiest way. I don't think they wanted to as it's a good source of income. Flats never stand empty there.

    Thanks!

The brochure mentions a few areas for potential improvements including recladding (http://t.co/xHanhxqgy6). It would be good to see the new owners show the building some TLC.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the South Bank over the next few years. The plans are controversial (http://t.co/xHanhxqgy6) but maybe a successful redevelopment will inspire others to think about the potential of these big 60s buildings.

Ha! I think you're right there! Perhaps that is estate agent speak to win round the non-believers - 'Oh that chunk of metal? Very American...' I was a bit disheartened by the layout and design - you normally get some some great living spaces inside purpose built flats from the late 60's/early 70's.

Here is a recent article from the Independent, discussing the change in attitude to Brutalist architecture and profiling Eros House: http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/art/features/concrete-buildings-brutalist-beauty-9057223.html
